Stella Mars

A native Mainer, Stella Mars got her start in college radio, never dreaming that she’d make a career out of basically talking to herself in a closed room. (Her aspiration was to be an actor and after some dabbling in TV and movies, she’s now a proud member of Screen Actors Guild.) Stella loves the music she plays on 107.5 Frank FM. “I played these songs when they were new,” she says with a smile.

Her first radio gig was in Auburn, and after graduating college, she moved to Boston where she worked for several different radio stations. Los Angeles was next; and she worked on the radio as well as a company that produced airline programming. (Why, yes, that was her voice you heard on American Airlines, US Airways, and Northwest Airlines back in the day!)

Now happily back in Maine, she’s trying to embrace winter (show shoes and all, but the couch and the cocoa keep calling...). However; if summer were a person, she’d marry it-that’s how much she loves summer! When she’s not working, you can find Stella trying a new recipe, reading a book, watching BritBox, or scoping out vintage goods at a thrift shop or yard sale!
